Dutch Minimalism At Its Best

One of my favorite Instagram accounts is @mamoesjka_nl which features the home of Ilona Zieltjens. She is a fun and personable Dutch mom who shares her styling, interior design inspirations and diy's on her blog Mamoesjka (translated "Mamushka" or "Mummy"). She claims that she is not a designer or stylist, just a mom, and she loves it. I love her do-it-yourself attitude, where she remodels and restyles on a continual basis. She details diy projects like creating a cement path in her garden and scraping paint off of hardwood floors. Her blog is spontaneous and full of frustrations, real-life drudgery and the joy of the finished product. Her 1969 home is located in Tilburg, in The Netherlands. Ilona is very supportive of Dutch designers and artisans. She often features their products in her home. And she has furnished her home with flea market finds and items from small creatives that are vintage, mid-century and minimal. If you love unique, creative and minimal decor, @mamoesjka_nl is Dutch minimalism at its best!
