A Restored Swedish Flat

The Global Villa

I came across this beautifully restored flat in Gothenburg, Sweden. Set in the cozy Linnéstad neighborhood, it overlooks the tranquil and magical Crow Meadow Park ( Kråkängsparken). It  is both spacious and stylish. From the light grey walls (Farrow & Ball) to the Gothic limestone counter tops, this apartment exudes what the Scandinavian aesthetic is all about. The living room is home to a beautiful tiled stove called a kakelugn. They are native to Scandinavia and are prominent in Nordic buildings. The furnishings are predominately white and the floors a dramatically dark hard wood. The linens and textiles are refined yet simple. I love this flat! It's sumptuous cool palette along with the comfy and luxurious furnishings make this both sophisticated and elegant. I'm ready to move in!
