My Autumn Escape to Rhodes

Last week I was lucky enough to visit the beautiful Greek island of Rhodes with my husband and youngest son Constantine. It is the largest of the Dodecanese islands (twelve islands in the south-eastern Aegean corner of Greece). The medieval old town of the city of Rhodes is one of the most popular tourist sites in Europe and was recently declared a World Heritage Site. Along with discovering the ancient city, I enjoyed relaxing on the beach, visiting ancient sites and enjoying the breathtaking landscape.

On our way home, we spent a day in Athens where we shopped in the Plaka (touristy shopping area just below the Acropolis), walked up to the Parthenon and enjoyed delicious Greek food. We stayed at the gorgeous Electra Palace Hotel which has a phenomenal view of the Acropolis from its rooftop deck and pool.
